Professional Services Consultant

At SpendHQ, Professional Services Consultants are key to enabling our clients to succeed within the application. Consultants play a critical role in new client onboarding and delivering strategic procurement services. Consultants will be asked to manage project workflows, lead client interactions, and work with key client stakeholders to define and achieve their spend visibility goals. Consultants are emerging leaders with 1-3 years of client facing experience. At this time, we are actively recruiting professionals who have demonstrated a track record of accomplishment and dedication to join the SpendHQ Professional Services team.

Specific responsibilities would include the following:

  • Develop and build relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with teams to efficiently execute on client projects
  • Work with clients to identify, document, and interpret key business requirements
  • Coach clients on spend visibility best practices and how they can navigate SpendHQ to identify opportunities for improving their procurement strategy
  • Assist in developing and executing upon project strategies and project plans
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders
  • Facilitate client workshops with key stakeholders and client executives
  • Coordinate communications within and outside the project team
  • Support new product/service development within the firm and help launch efforts
  • Contribute to SpendHQ’s strategic decisions and direction

Qualifications:

  •  1-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
  • Demonstrated project management, consulting, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to executives
  • Proficient at building and maintaining client relationships; proven client facing skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports
  • Prefer procurement and strategic sourcing experience, but will develop with the right candidate

Director of Product Marketing

The Director of Product Marketing combines both strategic and tactical expertise to help our company strongly position and communicate the value of the SpendHQ Spend Intelligence solution, the Per Angusta Procurement Performance Management solution (an emerging category), and their combined value to the market. This requires an experienced product marketer who is capable of understanding the needs and challenges of Procurement leadership, so that we can best tell our story and improve go-to-market results.

This person must be an effective collaborator with the marketing team, sales organization, and product teams to make strategic planning recommendations as well as create and co-create content and enablement deliverables that improve success. With the joint value of our spend intelligence and procurement performance management solutions, there is a significant opportunity for Product Marketing to lead a “new narrative” in the procurement space – showcasing how customers can realize new untapped value and disrupt old ways of doing things. As such, we seek a Product Marketing Director who is an innovative thinker, excited to embark on a new storytelling journey, pragmatic about goals and results, and excited about being in a growth-oriented entrepreneurial environment. Initially, this person will be the only Product Marketing team member (supported by the overall marketing team), but the expectation is that Product Marketing will grow over time. This position reports to the VP of Marketing/CMO.

Specific responsibilities would include the following:

  • Maintain, update and train team members on our messaging framework
  • Develop and update persona-based segmentation, messaging, and guidance
  • Stay on top of the competitive landscape and provide ongoing analysis
  • Document the buyer’s journeys and strategize on messaging needs for key phases
  • Own key areas of content strategy consultation, with a direct role in developing or codeveloping ‘high-value’ content such as presentations, white papers/thought leadership, case studies, product content, select blog posts, etc.
  • Stay current on product roadmap, new feature capabilities, and the implications for messaging, content, and go-to-market decisions
  • Serve as Marketing’s primary liaison with sales enablement
  • Provide support to sales for needs such as demo plays, RFP responses, FAQ repository, etc.
  • Own win/loss ongoing analysis and insights
  • Manage our strategy and activities in Analyst Relations and influencer engagement
  • Other areas: Market research; partnership marketing support; administrative reporting and project planning; support in product pricing/bundling discussions

Qualifications

At least 6 years of product marketing experience in a B2B environment, with a very strong preference for a SaaS product company and/or offerings related to Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain

  • Exceptional writing, research, and listening skills
  • High comfort level with learning and demonstrating technology products
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp and contextualize business and technology concepts
  • Strong drive to best tell a compelling yet accurate story to particular audiences
  • Confident presenter to smaller groups and on webinar-style formats, for training or educational programs
  • Ease with collaborating positively within and across teams
  • Additional preference given to those who have experience building and managing a small team to support/expand the product marketing function

Analyst/Associate, Business Intelligence

SpendHQ is looking for an Analyst/Associate of Business Intelligence to join their growing team. Analyst/Associate of Business Intelligence positions are part of a team which works with our clients to deliver spend analytics solutions. The team leads all client data integration, reporting, and enrichment, and consults with cross-functional partners in Client Success, Professional Services, and Engineering to deliver impactful client projects. The team is responsible for driving data strategy/execution, leveraging automation to create scalable processes, identifying insights in client data, developing internal process improvement initiatives, and reporting out on operational KPIs.

 

70% Client Data Strategy/Execution and Project Management 

  • Solve client business challenges through scalable and repeatable data workflows
  • Assess, capture, and translate complex business issues and requirements into a structured analytics use case, including rapid learning of industry/domain/client dynamics and development of effective work plans to drive projects to successful completion
  • Build modeling workflows within analytical tools on a variety of big data platforms as required by business need, and create robust documentation of solutions and underlying design decisions
  • Ensure effective delivery of client project work through data integration, validation, mining, and modeling, as well as collaborating on client deliverables
  • Derive valuable insights from data and coach clients and other stakeholders from insights
  • Support hypothesis definition, data gathering, data transformation/wrangling, model training and tuning, deployment of production scoring for classification models

 

30% Process Improvement, Internal Data/Process Innovation

  • Continuously review and optimize internal processes to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Develop strategies to aggregate data for ongoing benchmarking, insight generation, and market basket analysis
  • Assist in creation, testing, and implementation of business rules to enhance the accuracy of internal data

Skills we are looking for:

    • Minimum of 2 years of data analytics experience with a professional services firm, an internal strategy/analytics group, or similar environment with previous experience in strategy and/or analytics consulting highly regarded
    • Technical quantitative BS degree, combined with modelling work experience or training, with working knowledge of modelling (regression, machine learning, feature selection, validation), data (extracting, preparing, munging, validating), and building analytics pipelines
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common data analytics tasks
    • Working knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
    • Experience with Alteryx Designer/Server preferred
    • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to business audiences, and to explain business concepts to technical resources; with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external team members
    • Knowledge of or strong aptitude for quick learning business operational, process, delivery, and revenue models
    • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
    • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment
